Pre-natal
Are you a mother-to-be that wants to carry on or start Pilates to help you through your pregnancy?
S-Pilates provides private antenatal sessions that are suitable for expectant mothers at any stage of pregnancy. Our Physiotherapists have had additional training in antenatal care specifically looking at prevention of pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and other musculoskeletal issues. The aims of antenatal Pilates are to help you retain the strength of your core and pelvic floor throughout your pregnancy and help with the demands of childbirth.
The exercises will be adapted to your stage of pregnancy, allowing you to exercise safely throughout.
Before your first session you will be asked to complete and sign the downloadable health questionnaire and we will always carry out an assessment prior to embarking on a Pilates programme.
Postnatal
Do you need help to regain your pre-pregnancy figure? Regain your core strength? Help you prepare for life with a little one?
S-Pilates provides postnatal sessions which are designed with mums in mind. Our Physiotherapists have had expert training in postnatal rehabilitation and have designed the sessions to focus on gently regaining your core strength, pelvic floor control and help you recover from the demands of pregnancy and childbirth. We understand that making time for yourself with a new born baby can be difficult so why not carry out your session with your baby.
You can start postnatal Pilates once you have had your six-week check with your GP.
